It's that time of year when everyone is planning their summer vacations. I've put together a list of places that are definitely on the radar to be some of the summer's most popular holiday getaways for 2023. From stunning beaches to lush green forests and everything in between, this list has something for everyone!

Greek Islands

I'm not just being biased; Greece continues to top the list as a traveler's paradise. As you know, it's likely to be packed on those famous islands of Mykonos and Santorini. I suggest giving Milos, Naxos, or Crete a try to beat the crowds and get a more authentic Greek experience.

Iceland

Visiting Iceland in the summer means almost 24 hours of daylight. You won't run out of opportunities to explore with your never-ending days. With its unreal nature, Iceland is the best spot for magical hikes, swims in natural pools, and a chance to snorkel in between tectonic plates.

Northern Italy

Personally, I think northern Italy is the superior side of Italy. You've got the Dolomites to hike, Lake Garda to scuba in, and Verona to fall in love with. However, Sicily and the Amalfi Coast are still enchanting contenders if you want a beach destination.

Croatia

Croatia's dramatic coastlines and charming towns are a must-visit destination if you're looking for a beach vacation with a little something extra. With plenty of islands to explore, the waters of Croatia remain some of the clearest and bluest in the world — perfect for sea kayaking, snorkeling, and stand-up paddle boarding. Plus, it's home to the famous Mamma Mia island!

Scotland

Scotland is an underrated destination for a summer getaway. While you may think of snow-covered hills and chilly temperatures, in the summertime, Scotland is actually surprisingly mild and perfect for camping, hiking, and exploring its many lochs and glens.

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA

You don't have to travel overseas for a stunning summer holiday. Just south of Yellowstone National Park lies Grand Teton National Park, an adventure-lovers paradise. This park is packed with wildlife sightings, the iconic Snake River, alpine lakes, and some of the most majestic mountain vistas in North America.

Thailand

Thailand has something for everyone! Whether you want to explore the vibrant cities, discover hidden temples and markets, or lounge on tropical beaches, Thailand is a great spot for your summer vacation. With plenty of options for budget travelers as well as luxury resorts, it's a perfect destination for any type of traveler and their budget.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a top destination for hiking and outdoor adventures. With its incredible biodiversity, you can explore rainforests, waterfalls, and stunning beaches. Plus, it's the perfect spot for yoga retreats if you're looking to connect with nature and find your inner peace on your holiday getaway.

Swiss Alps

There's no better time than the present to spend your summer hiking an Alpine wonderland. The Swiss Alps offer some of the best mountain views and hiking trails in Europe. Plus, there are plenty of charming villages to explore when you need a break from trekking up those peaks.

Munich, Germany

Germany is my favorite European destination, so I may be a bit biased. But a week in the Bavarian capital gives you access to fairly-tale destinations like Neuschwanstein Castle and an easy train ride from the Austrian Sound of Music city, Salzburg. Munich is also home to the world's largest beer festival, Oktoberfest!
