3 Things To Do in RiNo, Denver

RiNo is an artsy, hip and trendy downtown Denver neighborhood.

Denver Central Market

The most important part (in my opinion) of any trip: Eats. Whenever I plan a trip, I make a list of a few restaurants in each neighborhood that I want to check out. I never commit to a place, because things happen, but want to have an idea so when my partner and I say “Where do you wanna eat?” we don’t stare at each other for an hour.

The Denver Central Market is local, authentic, and DELICIOUS. Located in the heart of RiNo and surrounded by incredible street art, The Central Market is a Millennial dream. Fresh produce, plenty of dietary options, and a cool vibe. We picked up our weekly groceries from this local haunt, and came back twice for dinner! I highly recommend the sandwich shop, Culture Meat & Cheese. I might have had the best two sandwiches of my life from there. Additionally, the market has a bar, Italian, bakery, creamery, seafood stand, and more!

Epic Brewing company

Now, I am someone who usually prefers the classics when it comes to my alcohol. However, this Salt Lake City transplant does the experiments right. According to their website, they were the first brewery in Salt Lake City to brew high alcohol content beer since Prohibition. I tried their Chasing Ghosts IPA (10.3%. ABV) — and thoroughly enjoyed the citrus, smooth, and creamy taste!

Movement Climbing + Fitness

Fun fact about me: I freaking love bouldering. If you don’t know what that is — take the hardest parts of a rock climbing problem, and put it lower to the ground so you can climb without ropes.

Movement Climbing + Fitness in RiNo has fantastic facilities. In addition to their regular walls, they have two huge traversing walls and boulders you can top-out on! (Topping-out is climbing on top of the boulder, not just jumping off when you reach the end). If you’re new to climbing, they offer a day pass for an affordable rate, rental shoes, and a fully equipped gym is climbing isn’t your speed — yet!
